Fantastic Illustrations of Grandville: 266 Illustrations from "Un Autre Monde" and "Les Animaux"
We have a copy of Un Autre Monde in French which I've never read because the illustrations are such insane worlds unto themselves. (I'm afraid the text might spoil them by explaining too much) So here's a version with only the pictures. French surrealism from 1844: audiences made of clapping eyeballs with lobster claws for hands, vegetables flogging each other, things morphing out of other things too weird to describe.
