Apex: Nexus ARC Book 3
Apex concludes the Nexus trilogy that explores the effects of a nano tech "drug" that allows networking our minds. It's truly global & features fun stuff like rogue AIs and mind-connected DJs. But most importantly Ramez develops deep, dense futures that are gritty and plausible and full of unintended consequences, as they should (and would) be. It's full of politics, too, meshing personal narratives with the global war on terror. Think "how politicians react to the internet", turned up to 11.
